The screen, as usual, is superb and the speed for occasional shopping is very good. Highly recommend. I’ve had it about 2 weeks now, and its it’s definitely a solid upgrade from my LG Gpad.
Battery life is plenty good. Things are plenty quick to load like videos and web browsing.

Screen gets crazy bright. Charges quickly. Runs smoothly with minimal bugs. Bluetooth work good. Love the headphone jack. Built in speakers sound surprisingly great.
The problem is that it is a brand new device, with brand new software android 9. There is some lag and stutter here and there.
And a lot of apps are not fully supporting this tablet yet, it even warns you before downloading apps from the Play Store.
The only problem I’ve come across with that is things sometimes look blown up and pixelized to try and fit the large screen.
Other than that no serious problems operation wise. Mostly cosmetic stuff that, again, should get fixed with updates over time. Over all it’s a pretty flawless working tablet so far.
Hopefully Samsung sends some updates it’s way to round things out. I’m sure they will.

I bought it to watch movies loaded on a GB SD card. It works perfectly. I downloaded VLC to watch the movies and it is fantastic. Everything works esp.
Also goes very bright and very dark which I like. Sound is great.

Only thing is that I like to buy an extra charger and it is so new, they don’t have the proper one listed yet. It is not the traditional one used with all my phones.
Anyway, small problem, I’ll get the back up eventually. Otherwise, I’ve had it about 3 weeks and it is all smooth sailing so far. The battery lasts a very long time.
I watch movies for a few hours every night and it lasts several days before I need a charge.

Bought this as a gift for my grand daughters 13th Birthday! She is very happy to have her own tablet to draw on. But when you download the drawing the quality is not good as she thought it would be.
Also, they should make the S Pen available to the Overall its a nice tablet but it has some downsides. I got this tablet to introduce myself to the android system.
I have been on iOS since the iPad 1 was released. This is not a replacement for my iPad Air 2, but something that I want to use as a learning tool.
So far, I am happy with the purchase, and any complaints I initially had were more because I needed to rewire my own thinking to find the Android method of doing something rather than what I have been used to in iOS.
I am not looking to compare this to my iPad, or get into the whole this vs that. I have had the device just short of 24 hours, but am really digging the features, especially considering the price.
And as a learning tool and consumption device it is going to work really well. The screen is bright enough to watch movies while on my commute.
The colors are sharp and vivid, blacks are black-enough. If the performance and usability continue from this first 24 hours, then I will continue to be happy with the purchase.
I bought the tablet last month and I’m loving the hardware, the screen looks great, the processor and the speed are pretty good for the price.
It is sad and disappointing that Samsung made one huge mistake. Despite the user’s manual instructing that it is possible to configure two different users on the device, the option is not available when you click on “accounts and backup”.
Unfortunately this unit has a charging port problem and will cost more to send off for repairs then a replacement by different manufacture.

20.01.2020 – The price difference between the two devices will likely narrow in future though, which would make the Tab A But well, those 2GB of the base model are still usable.
