  It was easy to install the Otter case and within a few days my husband had already dropped his now protected tablet at least twice.

  He did complain that the cover slowed down the reaction time of the touchscreen. He said it was not enough to override the protection the tablet provided overall.

  

  This thing is truly great for protecting tablets short story: My husband, me and our dog are going to a doctor’s appointment then for a drive one day.

  My husband and dog are going to wait in the SUV while I’m in my appointment so he brings the tablet along. Our dog needs help getting into the truck and my husband laid the tablet on the roof see where this is going.

  

  He puts the dog in the truck, gets inside himself we pull away. Upon approaching the main road there was heavy traffic, so my husband had to accelerate quickly into traffic 45mph roadway.

  Once he did that all of a sudden his tablet flew off the roof and into northbound traffic. Fortunately the trailing flow of vehicles didn’t run directly over the tablet that either of us saw.

  My husband immediately pulled over, then we turned around went back and he was able to safely retrieve it from the road. He got back into the truck and the tablet worked fine and showed no signs of damage.

  After that I personally would recommend this product to everyone without hesitation. This item is perfect to protect the tablets. The Otterbox is essential to make sure that we can save the expensive electronics from damage.

  Its been tested by our kid a few times. All is well. The Shell is a polycarbonate case that wraps around the back and sides of the tablet and helps protect the device if it is dropped.

  This otterbox does just that, it leaves all the ports accessible, provides a built in screen protector- which i always love because most stick on screen protectors never go on bubble free or defect free.

  It does add some thickness to a thin sleek tablet but i still think it looks good and more importantly i have had the misfortune of dropping it from a desk, approximately 4 ft in height and there wasn’t a scratch or any internal damage on the device.

  

  I also was not sure i would use the stand as it is very bulky but it actually does a very nice job of holding the tablet in landscape or portrait mode.

  The other plus is that you do not have to leave the stand attached, you can carry around the tablet without and feel secure that it very well protected.
